Check Your TV Compatibility
Samsung supports the Discovery+ app on Smart TV models from 2017 or later. If your TV is older, you must use a streaming stick like a Roku or Fire TV, or cast from your phone.
Install the App
Follow these steps to add the app to your TV.
Press the Home button on your remote.
Select Apps from the menu bar.
Select the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the top-right corner.
Type "Discovery+" using the on-screen keyboard.
Select the Discovery+ app from the results.
Select Install to download the app.
Select Add to Home to pin the app to your main menu for easy access.
Activate Discovery+
You need to link your TV to your Discovery+ account.
Open the Discovery+ app on your TV.
Select Sign In.
Note the 6-digit code displayed on your TV screen.
Open a web browser on your phone or computer.
Go to discovery plus.com/samsung (or the standard activation page discoveryplus.com/link if that redirects you).
Log in to your account if prompted.
Enter the 6-digit code from your TV screen.
Select Activate.
Your TV screen refreshes automatically. You can now stream your favorite shows.
Troubleshoot Common Issues
If you face problems, try these fixes.
App Not Found: Your TV model is likely older than 2017. Use a different streaming device.
Won't Load: Hold the Power button on your remote for 5 seconds to restart the TV completely.
Crashes: Delete and reinstall the app. Go to Apps, select Settings (gear icon), select Discovery+, and choose Delete. Then reinstall it.
Slow Streaming: Check your internet connection. Discovery+ requires at least 2.5 Mbps for standard definition and 4 Mbps for HD.
